Pentagon Renovation Project
Project Name: Pentagon Renovation Project Wedges 2-5, Arlington, VA
Owner: US Department of Defense
Description: The Pentagon Renovation Wedges 2-5 is a phased design/build renovation of 4 million square feet of space in the Pentagon. Scope includes removal of all hazardous materials, replacement of all building systems, addition of new elevators and escalators and installation of new security and telecommunications systems. Project completion is scheduled for 2010.
Role on Project: Commissioning Consultant
Services Provided: Implemented the QuiCx Project Delivery System for the Pentagon Renovation Liaison Branch of Washington Headquarters Services to manage and track the design, construction and closeout deliverables to the Government.

Developed and implemented the Commissioning, Decommissioning, Quality Control and Record Document Management programs for the Design-Build Contractor.

Smithsonian Institution
Project Name: Old Patent Office Building, Washington, D.C.
Owner: Smithsonian Institution
Description: The Old Patent Office Building project was a historic preservation of the third oldest building in Washington D.C. It included new mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, plumbing, security, fire alarm, and fire protection systems, reconditioning. The interior was modified to include galleries, office, retail, and support spaces for the museum.
Role on Project: Commissioning Agent
Services Provided: Develop and execute the Commissioning Plan; develop the master equipment list; review equipment submittals, develop pre-functional checklist and functional performance tests, direct onsite commissioning activities, and conduct on-site functional performance testing.

Develop and facilitate the systems and equipment operator training programs including video production of training sessions.

Develop and implement construction document control processes and protocol. Manage and administer the delivery of the project record documentation including production of CAD as-built documents, Operations and Maintenance Manuals, and Systems Manuals.

Implement the QuiCx Project Delivery System for the management of the project record documents. Provide live streaming web cameras including production of time lapse movies of construction progress. System is accessible to 150 project users.

National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration
Project Name: NOAA Satellite Operations Facility, Suitland, MD
Owner: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration
Project Description: The facility houses the National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Services (NESDIS) Satellite Operations and Data Processing Centers. The design consists of a three-story tower with an antenna to house the satellite operations and computer center, and a high-tech office. NOAA is pursuing a Silver Rating under the LEED certification system.
Role on Project: Commissioning Consultant
Services Provided: Providing commissioning consulting services to the General Contractor, P.J. Dick Incorporated in management, coordination and implementation of the project commissioning requirements.

 

Potomac Yards North and South Buildings
Project Name: Potomac Yard North and South Buildings, Arlington, VA
Owner: Crescent Resources
Project Description: A 650,000+ square foot LEED office building consisting of a north and south tower. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has leased more than 400,000 square feet in two office buildings
Role on Project: Commissioning Support
Services Provided: Providing electrical commissioning services in support of the project commissioning agent Advanced Building Performance, Inc.

Implemented the QuiCx Project Delivery System to manage the commissioning process including production of the master equipment list, and pre-functional checklists. 

Department of Environmental Protection
Project Name: Department of Environmental Protection - Administrative Facilities, New York
Owner: NY Dept of Environmental Protection
Project Description: New construction of six (6) administrative and policing facilities at various locations in New York.
Role on Project: DesignBuild Commissioning Agent

Asbury Park High School
Project Name: Asbury Park High School and Middle School Additions and Alterations, New Jersey
Owner: NJ Schools Construction Corporation
Project Description: Asbury Park Middle School Project consists of a 87,480 sq. ft. renovation & 50,825 sq. ft. expansion to be completed in 2005. Asbury Park High School Project consist of a 127,430 sq. ft. renovation & 57,305 sq. ft. expansion to be completed in 2006.
Role on Project: Commissioning Consultant
Services Provided: Design phase services include development of project flow charts, review of Design Intent and Design Development documents and development of Commissioning specifications for integration into the master specifications, and development of the Commissioning Plan in accordance with ASHRAE Guidelines

Baltimore/Washington International Airport
Project Name: Terminal A/B Expansion - BWI Airport, Maryland
Owner: Maryland Aviation Authority
Project Description: The Terminal A/B Expansion Project involves the demolition of the existing Pier B connector, construction of a two story Concourse B Connector, a two story Terminal addition with a mezzanine and concessions area, a two story Concourse A connector, and a two story Concourse A. A total of 26 new gates will be established. The work includes civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and baggage handling systems.
Role on Project: Quality Assurance/Commissioning Consultant
Services Provided: Implementation of QuiCx Project Delivery System for the management of the contractors Quality Control and Commissioning programs.

Dulles Pedestrian Walkback Tunnel
Project Name: Dulles Pedestrian Walkback Tunnel - Dulles International Airport, Virginia
Owner: Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority
Project Description: This project located at the Dulles International Airport, consisted of a new passenger walkway equipped with moving sidewalks that connects the Terminal to Concourse B. The grand opening of the walkway was in November 2004.
Role on Project: Quality Assurance Consultant
Services Provided: Implementation of QuiCx Project Delivery System for the management of the contractors Quality Control program.

Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle Project (EELV)
Project Name: Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle Project (EELV) - Launch Complex 41, Cape Canaveral, Florida
Owner: Lockheed Martin Astronautics
Project Description: Design-Build construction project consisting of multiple industrial and commercial facilities, including the vehicle integration facility, launch complex, mobile launch platform and space flight operations center. The inaugural launch of the ATLAS V rocket was in August of 2002.
Role on Project: Startup, Commissioning and Closeout Consultant
Services Provided:

Scheduled and directed mechanical equipment and systems startup and commissioning. Developed and managed the systems and equipment training programs. Managed the development of the Systems Manuals in accordance to ASHRAE Guidelines.

Developed and implemented construction document control processes and protocols for both the Owner and the Design Build Contractor. Managed and administered the delivery of the project closeout documentation including the master equipment list, spare parts list, operations and maintenance manuals, and record drawings and specifications.
