Before sending the ATLAS V rocket into space, NASA and Lockheed Martin had to make sure the launch complex was fit for duty here on Earth. Designing and building the EELV Launch Complex 41 consisted of multiple industrial and commercial facilities. This included the vehicle integration facility, launch complex, mobile launch platform and space flight operations center.
Wanda Lenkewich developed the standard operating procedures for the incremental release of construction documents to the design-build contractor. She was also responsible for managing the RFI, submittal, and field-work directive processes for the project. Wanda prepared the operations and maintenance manuals, and managed preparing the systems manuals and as-built record drawings and specifications. She also set up an inventory control program and trained users on how to manage project equipment provided by Lockheed Martin.
